The Role
This is a truly full-stack role, where you'll work across both front-end and back-end development to support and enhance our digital systems. You'll be involved in everything from building engaging user interfaces to developing robust back-end functionality and systems integration as well as assisting our data processing team with scripting and analysis work.
Your work will include:
- Migrating existing web applications from ColdFusion to C#, including back-end logic and database integration
- Developing, improving and maintaining company websites, ensuring strong functionality as well as great usability
- Creating bespoke, responsive survey templates using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery
- Using Askia alongside your front-end skills to build engaging, high-quality online surveys
- Designing and delivering technical, database-driven solutions to meet complex client requirements
- Supporting and developing internal IT systems, contributing to ongoing system improvements
- Providing IT support to staff and participants when required
- Offering technical support at research studies across the UK
About You
This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys variety and wants to get involved across multiple areas of IT and data. You'll be creative, detail-focused and confident working with both code and data.
You'll need to be someone who:

- Has a strong eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work

Requirements
Essential:
- Programming experience (ideally C#)
- Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery)
- Strong knowledge of databases/spreadsheets (e.g. SQL, MS Access, Excel)
- Confident working with numbers and data
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking
- Willingness to get involved across IT, web development and data analysis
- Degree in Computing, Maths, Science or similar OR relevant development experience
- Strong written and spoken English
- Full UK driving licence (occasional travel to support projects nationwide)
Advantageous but not essential:
- Experience in data processing or survey scripting
- Statistical knowledge
- Graphic design ability
- Online marketing or social media experience
- Understanding of market research

- This role is based at our office in Wetherby, an element of remote working will be available after successful completion of the probation period.
